The Uttar Pradesh Minimum Wages With Effect From 0.10.2023
Under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, as per the Government Order No. 194/36-3-2014-07 (New) / 4 dated 28-1-2014, and Notification No. 850/36-03-2019-931 (New) / 06 dated 30th September 2019, the minimum rates of wages and variable dearness allowance have been fixed for workers employed in the 15 scheduled employments. The daily rates of wages, based on monthly rates fixed, shall not be less than 1/26th of the monthly wage and the hourly rates shall not be less than 1/6th of the daily wage.
In accordance with the above, for employees in the following 74 employments, the variable dearness allowance shall be paid for the period from 1-10-2023 to 31-3-2024, based on the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (2001 = 100). The average index for the period July 2012 to December 2012 was 216, and the average index for the period January 2023 to June 2023 is 386.
